Navigation for when GPS goes dark

Viha guides you by landmarks: the pharmacy on the corner, the gas station before the turn, the traffic light at the junction. Your route is split into steps — switch them with a tap, your voice or your car screen.

How it works

Three steps — and you know where to turn

Plan your route while you have a connection. Once you set off, you won’t need GPS: just work through the route one step at a time.

  1. 1

    Plan your route online

Enter your starting point and destination. Viha builds the route and breaks it into individual turns.

  2. 2

    Get landmarks for every turn

For each turn, Viha shows two or three recognizable places—like a pharmacy, gas station, mall, or traffic light—and tells you which side of the road they’re on and whether they come before or after the junction.

  3. 3

    Follow the steps

Tap Next, say «Гей, Віха, далі» ("Hey Viha, next"), or use your CarPlay screen. Viha gives you turn-by-turn guidance in Ukrainian.

Features

Everything you need to get there without GPS

Landmarks at every turn

Viha draws on OpenStreetMap and Apple Maps to surface recognizable places—businesses, gas stations, pharmacies, shopping centres, churches, and traffic lights. Large venues are labeled by the venue itself, not by an individual shop inside.

Ukrainian voice guidance

Natural Ukrainian voice guidance reads each step and nearby landmark aloud. Audio is prepared in advance, so it works offline.

Apple CarPlay

See route steps, nearby landmarks, and Next/Back controls on your car’s display. Keep your hands on the wheel.

Voice commands

Try «далі» ("next"), «повтори» ("repeat"), «ще орієнтири» ("more landmarks"), or «проклади маршрут з … до …» ("plan a route from … to …"). Voice commands currently work in Ukrainian only.

Intersection photos

Mapillary street-level photos help you recognize an upcoming junction before you reach it.

Your own landmarks

Add a personal note—like “yellow fence” or “corner kiosk”—and it stays with your route.

Route history

Revisit previous routes and their landmarks, or resume an unfinished trip from the step where you left off.

Private by default

No sign-up and no ads. Your routes and history stay on your phone.
